You for She

I inspired today. Inspired a little girl. A little empress. Tommorrows hope. Todays success. The little girl that smiled, from openness and ultimate innocence. She is the lass proud of her society. So proud that a peacock loses shape in her presence. Her smile repairs many broken hearts. It brings peace. A reason for unity.

She lit our hearts and brought smiles to our faces. She raised our esteem, it was through me, but from her, I felt boosted. She had some dash of shyness. Her eyes settled for that. She is not at all compared to drama queens. My little girl is an empress. Her own kind of wisdom is unknown.
I didn't interact with her much, but she made my day, she ignited a new part of me. If I had her for a lifetime, I would have much to live for, much more than enough.

I told her, that in this crude world, she should never expect anything from anyone, the beasts of people were once sinless and golden in character and behaviour. Expectations should never be taken on a hard note, they injure our innocent souls most. It takes a simple personality to pass such small tests easily. It never takes an enemy to betray the other, betrayal is always from a friend. Tough to say, but a spade better be called  a spade. Her friends should matter most, with close proximity, she ought to examine all, no one is to be trusted with delicate and heavy issues, the true ones maybe, but not all.

In our sharing, she whispered that she is hardworking, she loves school, but I made her powerful. Being an empress, she must do the undone and get to heights. She must read, research and do discoveries. No one was born walking, the best did the extra that others left. The best learnt tirelessly. Goal diggers. Its evident, they aren't lucky nor are they supernaturals. They did out of passion to steer to top notches. The success astounded all. As jealous ones whine, others shine. Richness in faith and passion, is what matters most. Wealth is just a measure, a sign to be precise, but she ought to know that if she keeps God first, she'll never be last.

My girl looks tired, lunch awaits I guess, but as we get done I let her know that she is privileged, a beautiful young girl like her somewhere doesn't know what her tomorrow calls, it got her emotional. Gratitude and thanksgiving should be an all time affair. Nothing has more power than appreciating what you have, what someone does for you and the efforts you make to remain the best. It doesn't take a cent nor a shilling. Its a clean mind and a beautiful heart. The beauty that she got from within, the one we cannot see but feel, its the best kind of beauty. A soul thing.

Hopefully, i'll still have my girl to talk to, she gives me the love, the admiration is endless. Someday, my girl will shine. As she shines, I glitter and shout. It all went in sucess. At the end.

The prince has come.

The most cute, handsome, sweet little lad I ever had. His rosy cheeks, very clear eyes and toothless smile. I love him. My prince. The prince that will make me proud in days to come, the one I look on to. From his first cry, I knew a hero had come. Very fragile but all smiled on the grand appearance. My new arrival. My latest of favourites.

He knows he has a Queen. At any time, she would be on its support. Our sleepless nights with my prince are memorable. Such value and such great love between us two. The jealous King wouldnt say much, but he is proud too, isnt he? Its the symbol of us two. Such great happiness when our prince sleeps and smiles with ever admiring angels. Much joy bound, the mix of a soul mate and you. Am not to say, am to thank, am to appreciate that am blessed. My joy is their joy. They are upto my service, anytime, anyday. The small, not really recognized but love based royal family.

Little prince is glad to be the first, probably more coming, our King would assure but he is handsomely the best. His eyes promise of strength. His little heart beats of a never ending kind of hope, the protective stern look to his younger ones is evident, even when its a day old. A good day is definitely seen in the morning, conversely, a beautiful life is seen on day one. Its not promised it will be easy for him, we will be there, the well shaped head, a sign of a good leader and steadfastness in religion. We would quarrel on it, with my King, but who doesnt know that all good qualities are paternal? This stereotype must go to the woods. I say.

The pride of our bricked castle, the light of our kingdom, its name ought to be based on all this. Its not the seventh day, he is just a prince for now. Its all ecstatic. Name suggestions coming in plenty. In deep sleep, the King calls out a name, obsession cannot be defined any better than this. All around eager to see him, am not yet in my castle but I can feel the heat. The neighbours and villagers are my cool, I cant wait to get to my royal home. I would be washed with all kinds of good gifts on the baby shower. They would sing, young girls would plait my hair, amazed by the softness, a sign of a strong prince coming they would tease and giggle all out. Its united us all. The old man who would pass each day break.

"Mama! I got you pawpaws, so our grandson can be rosy and light."

He would say this each and every day he brought the orange and sweet pawpaws, insisting I eat before he lives, then he sings and blows his flute. My prince dances in joy when he was in. He was magical and alas! his pawpaws never let him down. Very rosy and very light his grandson is! Am very eager waiting for the van, so my son can smell the soil at home. I hear all are out and waiting, women singing and chanting. Its a prince, its not any other kind of son. Precisely the first. The nurses here cant get enough of him. All are in the nursery but my prince is amidst hugs and kisses. His time is not ripe. Not even by a minute.

Am waiting for King's convoy. My prince yawns, and its here. We ought to meet everyone. The royal family lets all enjoy. Definitely, three goats are down tonight. The prince has come.

When they said I couldnt.

I do it because I can, I can because I want to, I want to because they said I never will. The road to ultimate success is indeed winding and very long. It takes a strong heart, a hard brain and a soft conscious. We all want to be successful. The greatest pleasure in life is doing what people said you can never do. Prove them wrong. They will for sure hate you for that, but the clear satisfaction you get after doing what no one ever thought you would do defines it all.

We live in a world where few are happy for ones success, yet many encourage vices. The "mama G" homes are on the rise with very few girl power empowerment teams. Streets at night full of cute misinformed ladies, like dont we see this? Young men on the other hand, drug use hitting them to the tooth, expertise in theft and sexual violence. It saddens. The power of the pen and the book is needed in our society today, I believe minds are open to more when in schools and learning institutions. Socialization moves us that far. The big difference that can be seen from an illiterate compared from the literate is wanting. At times, its not that they dont want to study, but the society's upkeep, poor performance should not at all be the end of the world. Its just a mistake, yet most of us regard them as failures or rather,  academic dwarfs which is very wrong. Its not at all the end of the world when we bottom the class. The Kenyan secular system is a big headache when it comes to ranking. More concern and attention given to those who do well, with little in mind that maybe they are dwarfs in such but giants in other fields. You cannot miss everything. Not at all.

Recognition of young talents at initial levels would save us alot. Most of those who have made it big have done it so out of passion and out of utmost goodwill, the likes of Julius Yego, a record throw worth appreciating. The role the teachers play is not to be forgotten, though it should not at all be left on them, parent's need to examine their kids at a very tender age. Talent realized at young age and nurtured to old age grooms kings out of common men.

We have not lost it till we say its lost. Change is gradual, its never at once. It starts with us. It is time.

When two leaders smile.

Two leaders smile. Crowds applaud. Followers laugh. The ones detesting their ruling not kept in mind at this time. As these two leaders curve their faces, alot goes in their minds, despite their political responsibilities but also the position their fathers would be proud of. They lived to live the role. In their hope to be the exact replica of the latter, they strive in hope, do all the best, so the common mwananchi gets the satisfaction they always needed. Under the same umbrella, is the same opposition that existed before. Politics then and now has a hair strand difference. Maybe the rise of social media platforms, people opening eyes to civic education and such.

The small country has changed alot, much atrocities at hand, but hope is seen when two leaders bind. When two leaders eyes glitter in peace, we are obliged to follow. I mean leaders not bosses we got here. Those who would walk in streets and also try to wash away the most permanent of problems. A vote not wasted one would think. The straight link they have created between the people and their leadership is very efficient for their governance. The direct assistance from their own pockets, open hearted they ought to be.

The addressed problems plus devolution has entirely boosted our state, accountability of funds open and questionable sources intact. Many suspended without fear or favour. Many lost their seats and others who survived are on the look. "Tuko macho" is all they should know. The war on corruption by our very own "deputy president". The pangs of a bad leader hit the nation down. Alot goes on taxes yet few work to ensure taxpayers money never goes to waste, while others, the mad men actually advocate for taxpayers loss.

Leaders become great, not because of their power but because of their ability to empower others. Am on the scale. Am on the take. If am to stand for leadership, I will, good examples I will emulate and good practices all underway. The smile the leaders smile, should be transpiring to all. We all cant be contented but atleast there is a difference. Its never about the role. Its always about the goal.
